Profanity in faith-based content appears to be a trend and unfortunately this studio has mixed messages on its website concerning profanity, especially for a company founded by a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints who also founded VidAngel – a service that is designed to remove profanity from movies. Although their policy says that profanity is not allowed on their site they are streaming “Sound of Freedom” for Guild members (a $175 annual membership) which DOES have PROFANITY in the movie and there is a podcast interview with under LightWise titled “Quality of Courage in Film and in Life” that has repeated use of profanity by Jim Caviezel, the star of the movie. When this profanity was brought to the project specialist’s attention she SAID “For now, our team is going to create a version with those words muted.”, but they DID nothing to remove the language. So viewer beware.
